Better pay with some bugs to get clean and trustworthy tools. I don’t care, because they don’t have anything to offer for my primary domain. I don’t have one and don’t plan slotrize casino bonus to start with that platform in forseeable future. Thus ST’s built-in “Package Control Installer” still downloads v3.4.1, which doesn’t work.
If I recall correctly for WinRAR (I bought a license a decade ago), you get the license reminder only at startup. Just last week, I finally got fed up and bought a license just to get rid of that thing. You might be surprised by how annoying that occasional popup of “Please buy a license” can be. Apart from those things, it’s just a matter of conscience, really.

In order to set this up you need to know how to create a custom build system, which also requires you to know what command you would type from a terminal to be able to run whatever program you want to run. I have successfully installed Package Control and Terminus, but I’m lost as to how to create this as a new build so that it actually runs Terminus. I would generally recommend Terminus for this; it’s a little easier to set up and use than SublimeREPL is (or at least, I think so) and it’s also just handy as a terminal in general. It seems Build is completely broken if the code includes an input().
Everyone just wants ST staff to create plugins for everything but there are just like 3 developers there. In real life, people paid for something that has more value than the free one. What I’m trying to say is that Github Copilot uses openai API too, I can rather create one myself instead of using Github Copilot ( I already created one that is web version before ). The only issue is your plugin is not official
Build broken? – Python 3 – input()
- GitHub doesn’t reveal how to communicate with Copilot.
- Start things off with a free 30-day trial.
- Going after pirates is also incredibly expensive, and people tend to rise up and hate the software with terrible DRM…
- Therefore I didn’t checked this topic out because I couldn’t run the installed package control.
- The majority of license purchases Sublime gets is most likely from companies.
I find code completion of Codeium good. I don’t think that we will need to chat with. I guess, I need it for auto generating code AI integration in coding environments like Sublime Text is definitely a hot topic these days. Honestly, I won’t expect people who want to use Copilot go to LSP’s document to find it.
- The developers of Sublime Text likely understand that not everyone who downloads the software will purchase a license.
- Specialist features are rightly implemented as plugins.
- Also, regarding the NSA claiming Meta Data is harmless… There was a good video by some guy a while back which hit the ball home regarding what can be obtained through it… something along the lines of – what’s more intimate?
- Or, something like – here’s a free version, that does this, and here’s a pro version, that, on top of what the free version does, also does these other things (that we ruled, you’d need only if you’re using the program professionally, not what we thought would make you buy a license regardless)…
- The video that the snippet above is referencing is this video, which covers the basics of creating a build system and how they generally work.
- That said, if you’re making a living programming you should definitely pay for a license.
- If you find yourself with a lot of money, please to consider buying a license.
Where can I learn more about the various Prime benefits?
I am using the trial version, but am not about to pay $80 for a code editor that can’t run code. It doesn’t say whether you could build commercial products out of a unlicensed version. Coupled with the fact that the payment is for a lifetime license so it really doesn’t matter if someone pays now or in 20 years…
That said, if you’re making a living programming you should definitely pay for a license. Sublime’s reminder happens randomly when you save, and it’s a text editor that you’re probably using all day. And you probably don’t use zip/rar files all that often throughout the day. Additionally, you need a license key to be able to use the development versions of Sublime, if that’s important to you.

The only way to get rid of LSP is to reverse engineer plugins from GitHub’s official plugin for VIM (or VSCode, other editors). That just means it’s not rejected and that’s all. In that case, people has been asked for you and their answer is “we would consider that”. So, by an “official” one, you should ask GitHub to implement a ST plugin. GitHub doesn’t reveal how to communicate with Copilot.

There will be a video going live on my YouTube channel on Monday that covers this exact thing, but there is an excerpt here that shows the problem you’re having and how to use Terminus to solve it. When I build this code, for example, and type an input into the debug console, nothing happens. Another issue was that I’ve been using ST on my Mac for the last years without noticing that package control has stopped working. Maybe add to the title something like package control issues (not running, not installing, not upgrading) on MacOs.

Why would it matter whether a plugin uses that or not? It seems there is no clean way to only implement the official one, and I don’t see this in their roadmap, sad for Sublime Text users. Currently, there is no API for GitHub Copilot that would allow us to create a plugin for Sublime Text 4. Sadly I don’t need the LSP, only the AI. I’m tired of visiting any popular AI like ChatGPT and Google Bard every time when I need help with coding and getting info / suggestion. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has experienced a surge in popularity and is now being widely embraced by people who recognize its immense potential and are utilizing it wisely.
